50th Birthday Party
Friday, January 2, 2009 at 04:43PM Hard to believe - but the Church is shortly going to be 50 years old.
Yes, our Church was consecrated by the then Bishop, Donald Coggan, on January 31st 1959. To celebrate the occasion we are planning a special weekend of activities and services, and on Saturday January 31st we are
hosting our very own 50th Birthday Party.
This is open to members and friends, both past and present, of St Cuthberts. But you'll need to let us know that you're coming, so that we can cater for people. All church members will have received an invitation already, but we want to throw the net wider - and welcome EVERYONE. However - as we say - you will need to let us know that you are going to be coming. You can use the email link on the navigation menu!
We'll be actually having two distinct parties - this is to be able to cater for larger numbers! The first 'sitting' will be from 5.00-7.00 pm and then from 7.30 onwards. Anyone who is wanting to stay right through is welcome to do so, but we are thinking that most people will come to one or the other. The thinking is that the earlier session will cater for those who don't really like coming out at night, whilst the second sitting will be more of a boisterous and party-type atmosphere with dancing etc
Choose which part of the evening is best for you!
For the further information or to let us know you are coming, contact any member of the Social Committee or drop us an email.
